My life with Wil was not a long one. We shared so much though, the love of a movie, a cup of coffee, computers and even grocery shopping. He loved animals and the kindness toward them and people was very special. He always worried about what needed to be done for Veterans. Being a Veteran himself he was full aware of their needs. He spent alot of time the hospitals over a period of six weeks and made friends with nurses and doctors, even to the point he had their private number just to talk. When we were first together we would go dancing and what a dancer he was, had so much fun. Wil, "Dubby", known to long ago friends, had a sense of humor beyond humor. He always had a possitive outlook on his survival of cancer, and he prayed for a cure. Even when I knew he was in pain he worried and felt more about others than what he was going through. God put us together for a reason, I believe that he wanted me to show Wil the love and understanding that he felt he hadn't had in years. He loved his brother, and his kids. The last conversation he haad with his brother made him laugh. He shared the story with me, things he did not know while he served in the Air Force, but the stories they shared brought him joy. He had a best friend, Butch, that he thought of daily. Was elated when he knew that he would be visited by Butch, could talk to him about most anything. He loved my granddaughter, Kristin and her husband Ernie. He said they were his family now. When he learned she was expecting the smile he had was glowing. When T'Leyla was born he cried, "Kristin made me a grandpa". Wil will be missed so much. He will be in my heart and mind and soul. I love you sweetheart.
