Obituary for Julie Lynn Verner

Julie Lynn Verner, 42, passed away on August 18, 2017 with family by her side at Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born Julie Lynn Arthur on November 11, 1974 at Loring AFB Maine to Gary and Debbie Arthur, both active duty members of the United States Air Force. At the age of two the family moved to Massachusetts where she spent many a time at her grandparents’ farm in upper state New York. She also loved to go to Cape Cod, her first love of the ocean. Her parents decided in 1985 to move the family out west. Julie graduated from Hidden Valley High School in 1992. She worked for a family business, Performant (DCS) and Sprint.

A devoted mother and wife, Julie enjoyed helping her sons with 4-H projects, spending time with her horses and was an active member of the Josephine County Sheriff’s Posse. Camping was always one of her favorite things to do. Julie was a great friend to many.

Julie is survived by her husband of 15 years, Jason and three sons: Allen (15), Austin (14) and Aiden (11). She is also survived by her mother Debbie Arthur of Grants Pass, two brothers: Jim and Joe of Reno, Nevada, Grandmother Emma Frances Sharp of Medford and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Gary and Grandparents James and Sally Arthur.
